Models · Pricing

Kling AI pricing, two ways.

You can buy Kling directly from Kuaishou, or render Kling shots inside GATA as part of a production. The per-second numbers are different because you are buying different things. Here are both, without spin.

Kling inside GATA

GATA bills per second of finished video, in credits. Kling is available on every plan — no model is held back for a higher tier.

Model Credits / second ≈ £ / second 6-second shot
Kling o3 Pro 20 £0.20 – £0.24 120 credits
Kling v3 Pro 25 £0.25 – £0.30 150 credits

The £ range comes from GATA's overage rates, which tier down by plan: £0.012 per credit on Starter, £0.011 on Studio, £0.010 on Pro. Credits included in your monthly plan work out at a similar rate. Uplifts, added per second on top of the base rate: 4K +30, lip-sync +15, background noise +5.

Plan Monthly Commercial use
Basic (free)$0No
Standard≈ $6.99Yes
Pro≈ $25.99Yes
Premier≈ $64.99Yes
Ultra≈ $127.99Yes

Kling's plans are credit-based, and a clip's credit cost varies with model, resolution, and duration — so a headline monthly price does not translate cleanly into seconds of output. Annual billing is discounted, and introductory rates typically rise at renewal. The free Basic tier does not permit commercial use, which rules it out for client work.

Which is cheaper?

Direct is cheaper for raw clips. We are not going to pretend otherwise. If your need is "generate some Kling clips", a $6.99 or $25.99 subscription is less than a £99 GATA plan and you should take it.

What direct access does not include is everything between a clip and a finished film. With Kling on its own you get a prompt box. Each generation is independent, so the character in shot 4 is a new negotiation with the model every time — the character drift problem. There is no place for an approved look to live, no persistent locations, no script the shot list reads from, and no mix at the end.

GATA's per-second rate is a blended workspace rate. It covers the orchestration around the model: binding the locked-cast composite to each generation, carrying look and location state between shots, retry handling, and assembling a scored, mixed cut. The question is not which per-second number is smaller — it is whether you are buying clips or a production.

Why Kling is GATA's default model

Kling o3 and v3 are the only two models in GATA that accept locked-cast composites as references. The approved character is passed to the model as an input and bound to the generation, instead of being described in a prompt and hoped for. Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0, and Grok Imagine 1.5 do not take character references at all.

That is why o3 is the default: at 20 credits per second it is simultaneously the joint cheapest option and the only one that can hold a face across a dozen shots. See Kling AI in GATA for the o3-versus-v3 decision and locked cast for the record that gets bound.

What a real project costs

A 30-second ad with eight shots averaging six seconds each is 48 seconds of finished video: about 960 credits on Kling o3, or roughly £9.60 to £11.50 of credit. Add lip-sync to the four shots with dialogue — 15 credits per second across about 24 seconds — and you add 360 credits.

That puts a finished 30-second ad comfortably inside the Starter plan's 7,500 monthly credits, with room for the image and voice work around it. The pricing page works through a 90-second film and a localised variant.

Frequently asked

How much does Kling AI cost per month?

On Kling's own consumer plans, roughly $6.99/month for Standard, $25.99 for Pro, $64.99 for Premier, and $127.99 for Ultra, with annual billing discounted. A free Basic tier exists but does not permit commercial use. Prices verified 2026-07-30 and subject to change — check klingai.com before budgeting.

How much does Kling cost inside GATA?

Kling o3 Pro is 20 credits per second of finished video and Kling v3 Pro is 25. At GATA's overage rates of £0.010 to £0.012 per credit, o3 works out at roughly £0.20 to £0.24 per second. Optional uplifts add per second: 4K +30 credits, lip-sync +15, background noise +5.

Is Kling cheaper directly or through GATA?

For raw clips, buying Kling directly is cheaper — you are paying for inference and nothing else. GATA's per-second rate covers the production workspace around the model: locked cast references, persistent locations, script and shot state, and a scored, mixed cut. If you only need single clips, go direct. If you need a dozen shots that cut together, that structure is the thing you are actually buying.

Can I use Kling's free tier commercially?

No. Kling's free Basic tier excludes commercial use. Every paid GATA plan, including the £99 Starter, includes commercial-use rights on exports and a commitment that your work is never used to train models.

What is the difference between Kling o3 and v3 pricing?

Kling o3 Pro is 20 credits per second; Kling v3 Pro is 25. The extra 5 credits per second buys frame-to-frame interpolation, which is only worth paying for when you have a usable last frame for the shot. Without one, o3 is both cheaper and the better choice.
