The short version
Both GATA and LTX Studio are structured workspaces, not one-shot clip generators — so the real question isn’t “workspace or not.” It’s what the workspace is built to produce. LTX Studio is a storyboard-first AI filmmaking tool: script in, storyboard out, shot-by-shot down a narrative timeline. GATA is a campaign production workspace: one locked cast carried across every cut and every localised version, with a different frontier model pickable per shot.
If you’re previsualising a film, LTX is in its element. If you’re shipping a campaign — multiple cuts, multiple markets, one consistent cast — that’s GATA’s job.
What each one is for
| Need | GATA AI | LTX Studio |
|---|---|---|
| Storyboard a narrative film from a script | partial | ✓ |
| 30-second ad with a consistent cast | ✓ | ✓ |
| Same cast locked across a whole campaign, not just one project | ✓ | partial |
| Localised versions (re-cast / re-write per region) | ✓ * | manual |
| Per-shot choice of frontier model | ✓ | tier-gated |
| Cut comes out scored and mixed | ✓ | — |
| Commercial licence on the entry plan | ✓ | — (from Standard up) |
* Localised versions are included on GATA’s Studio plan and above, not on Starter.

Model access is the real difference
LTX Studio leads with its own LTX-2 models and gates third-party frontier models by tier: the $35 Standard plan reaches Veo 2 and Kling 2.6 Pro, while Veo 3.1 and Kling 3.0 Pro arrive only on the $125 Pro plan.
GATA is model-neutral by design. Every plan can pick Kling o3, Kling v3, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0, or Grok Imagine 1.5 per shot, billed at a transparent per-second credit rate, with no model held back for a higher tier:
| GATA model | Credits / second | 4K capable |
|---|---|---|
| Kling o3 Pro | 20 | Yes |
| Grok Imagine 1.5 | 20 | No |
| Kling v3 Pro | 25 | Yes |
| Seedance 2.0 Pro | 45 | No |
| Veo 3.1 Pro | 45 | Yes |
Uplifts apply per second on any model: 4K +30, lip-sync +15, background noise +5. Switch the renderer on a single shot and the cast, look, and script carry over untouched — see the models hub for the full per-model breakdown and shot inheritance for why swapping is free in effort terms.
Pricing
GATA prices verified against application code on 2026-07-30. LTX Studio prices verified from published pricing on 2026-07-30 and re-checked quarterly; GATA prices are GBP excluding VAT, LTX Studio prices are USD.
GATA AI — Starter £99/mo (7,500 credits), Studio £249/mo (22,500 credits), Pro £499/mo (50,000 credits), Enterprise custom. Monthly billing, no annual lock-in. Commercial use and “no training on your work” on every plan, including Starter.
LTX Studio — Free (800 one-time credits, personal use), Lite $15/mo (8,000 credits, personal use), Standard $35/mo (28,000 credits), Pro $125/mo (110,000 credits), Enterprise custom. Annual billing is roughly 20% cheaper (Standard ≈ $28/mo, Pro ≈ $100/mo). The commercial-use licence begins at the $35 Standard tier.
The headline difference for a working team: with GATA, output is licensed for commercial use from the entry plan. With LTX you need at least the $35 Standard tier before anything you make is licensed commercially — and the Pro tier before you can render on Veo 3.1.
Credit allowances are not comparable line-for-line, because a credit buys different things in each product. The number that matters is finished seconds: GATA’s Starter plan covers roughly six minutes of finished video per month, Studio around eighteen, Pro around forty-one. Those figures and the per-project math are on the pricing page.
When LTX Studio is the better choice
We’d point you to LTX Studio if:
- You’re previsualising a narrative film or short. Its storyboard-first timeline is purpose-built for that, and GATA isn’t trying to be a film pre-vis tool.
- You want the lowest possible entry price to experiment. The free tier and $15 Lite plan are cheaper ways in than GATA’s £99 Starter, as long as personal-use-only is acceptable.
- You’re a solo filmmaker who wants one cinematic story tool rather than a campaign workspace.
Where GATA fits
GATA is built for the team shipping campaigns, not films: a marketing producer, agency, or studio that needs the same cast across a dozen cuts and several markets, a per-shot model picker, and output that lands scored and mixed. If “one cast, every cut, no drift — across markets” describes the problem, that’s the line GATA is on.
