This is a plain-English summary of how cancellations, refunds and Credit forfeiture work on GATA AI. The full legal terms are set out in Sections 4 and 14 of the GATA AI Terms of Service at https://gata.ai/terms-of-service, which prevail in the event of any inconsistency with this summary.
GATA AI is a B2B service. These rules apply to business Customers; we do not contract with consumers (see Section 2 of the Terms).
Subscriptions auto-renew. Self-serve Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each Subscription Term at the then-current price. You may cancel any time before renewal via the in-product self-service interface or by emailing support@gata.ai. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current Subscription Term — there is no refund of the Subscription Fee already paid for the current term.
Generation failures — pre-acceptance vs. post-acceptance. If a Generative Operation fails before our generation Sub-Provider accepts it (e.g. moderation block, validation error, submit-time rejection), the Credit reservation is released automatically. Once the Sub-Provider accepts the operation, the Credits are debited and no refund is due regardless of whether the Output is delivered, satisfactory or commercially useful. You are paying for the generation attempt, not a guaranteed Output.
Credit Top-Ups. Top-Up Batches are non-refundable from purchase, with two exceptions: (i) you may request a discretionary refund of an unused Top-Up Batch within 14 days of purchase, granted at GATA's discretion; and (ii) Credits in a Top-Up Batch expire 12 months after purchase. Credits can be redeemed only while you have an active paid Subscription — if your Subscription ends, unused Credits are forfeited.
Material Adverse Credit Cost Change. If GATA materially increases the Credit cost of a Generative Operation you actively use (more than a 25% rise on a like-for-like basis), you have a 30-day window to terminate the affected Subscription with a pro-rata Subscription-Fee refund. See clause 4.8(e) of the Terms.
Other refund rights. Pro-rata refunds are available in narrow cases — material breach of the Terms by GATA (clause 14.3) and certain modification or deprecation events (clauses 8.3 and 4.11).
